Agricultural Pollutants
Agricultural Pollutants get into our rivers, streams, reservoirs, lakes and groundwater supplies in a fairly obvious fashion; they are usually directly and purposely applied to the land.
Other contaminants could be said more to “leach” into the water, such as animal waste and fecal matter; frequently stored in large holding lagoons. Animal wastes are frequently responsible for Nitrates in the water. Nitrates pose little threat to adults, but can kill untreated infants!
